A Majesty of Stone

Thoughts at the LDS Temple in Las Vegas

Rising forth from common sod,
A majesty of stone;
Reaching up to greet a god
The world has left alone.

A temple takes a solid stand,
A truth that holds it’s line;
And, though a structure wrought by man,
Appears to be divine.

It radiates a reverence
That permeates the soul,
And bridges ‘cross the severance
‘Tween man and godly goal.

The work and glory of the Lord
Within it’s walls are found
When, through the priesthood, now restored,
God’s family is bound.
