Hamburger Patty

A silly piece I wrote as lyrics for a song contest held by Wendy’s Hamburgers. I didn’t win.

Patty we all know you were my first love,
But, Patty, do you know how I feel now?
After all this time you’re still the one I turn to;
Don’t take this wrong, but you’re my sacred cow.

Patty, Hamburger Patty.
No other grill can bring me to my knees.
Dressed the way I like you are so scrumptious
I simply go insane when you say “Cheese”.

I’ve wandered once or twice, for that I’m sorry;
But now there’s nothing fishy going down.
I found it’s just plain chicken to go wanderin’;
It’s tasteless to cheat on the love I’ve found.

Patty, hamburger Patty,
No other grill can bring me to my knees;
Dressed the way I like you are so scrumptious;
I simply go insane when you say “Cheese”.

Patty, who’s your Daddy?
My lips will not touch any other grill.
Patty, Hamburger Patty.
You’re USDA choice and my choice still.
