Ride Through The Night

Watch my headlight thread the night;
Throttle crackin’, crisp and tight.
Pistons drummin’, wheels a-hummin’,
I’m all right.
As I ride through the night.

There’s muscled sinew within this steel
That reason tells me cannot be real;
Flexing, striding; a stallion gliding,
Or so the feel
As I ride through the night.

I’ve seen tension, I’ve known blues,
But in the evening a ride renews.
A peaceful feeling sends stresses reeling;
Oh, how she soothes
As I ride through the night!
