Women of Accomplishment

Somewhere in the universe
A building stands alone,
Filled with medals, trophies, plaques,
The world has never known.

And angels daily take the task,
Engraving every name
Of women of accomplishment
Who somehow miss the fame

That should attend each act of love,
Each soul-progressing stride
That she’s oft made to render aid
Through celestial truths applied.

Combining heavenly strengths with hers,
She’s shouldered every load;
And, not unlike the Master’s life,
Few honors are bestowed.

This world knows not it’s heroes;
The heroine, too, must wait
‘Til, somewhere in the universe,
On some appointed date,

With mankind at the judgement bar
This truth will be unveiled:
The saviors of this world are those
Whose charity never failed.
